The family of the teenager who was put behind bars after he was arrested following some inappropriate remarks made on Facebook, has received $500,000 to help the family post bail for their son.<\/p>\n
19-year old Justin Carter has been in jail for over four months before the “anonymous good Samaritan” sent the money to his family.<\/p>\n
Carter was jailed for posting angry messages to Facebook while quarrelling with another user over a League of Legends game.<\/p>\n
\u201cSomeone had said something to the effect of \u2018Oh you\u2019re insane, you\u2019re crazy, you\u2019re messed up in the head,\u2019\u201d Justin\u2019s father Jack Carter told a Texas news station. \u201cTo which he replied \u2018Oh yeah, I\u2019m real messed up in the head, I\u2019m going to go shoot up a school full of kids and eat their still, beating hearts,\u2019 and the next two lines were lol and JK.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another user saw the post, Googled Justin Carter\u2019s whereabouts, and when seeing he lived near a school, contacted the authorities.<\/p>\n
The comments obviously brought up feelings and images of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting, which was highly publicised across the world.<\/p>\n
Justin is now out on bail, with a court hearing on 16 July 2013.<\/p>\n
