South African studio Knife Media, who developed one of the console\u2019s launch titles (RED) has revealed how successful the game sales have been.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We broke even within two and a half weeks, whilst sales are currently sitting at just below 400,\u201d said Knife Media&#8217;s co-founder Jack Shiels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight now that doesn\u2019t seem like a whole lot, but there aren\u2019t a significant amount of Ouyas out in the wild right now. I reckon by year end we will have a clearer picture,&#8221; added Shiels.<\/p>\n<p>The Ouya has shipped out to 58,000 Kickstarter backers, but we don&#8217;t have any further unit sales at this point.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/G5moED9qfHU\" height=\"338\" width=\"600\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>RED is a top-down survival shooter that follows Rick Steele, a blocky hero who has to battle mutant hordes that are attacking his city.<\/p>\n<p>Rick needs to use a variety of weapons and powers to defeat the legions and save the day.<\/p>\n<p>On top of the action-packed premise, the game will feature \u201csmexy cartoon graphics\u201d, perks, persistent player levelling, unique abilities and local multiplayer.<\/p>\n<p>Knife Media is an independent game developer in Cape Town, South Africa, who specialise in mobile, desktop and Ouya game development platforms.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think of the Ouya?
