When you are stuck behind a computer with naught but the Internet to keep you entertained, a good selection of browser games is needed to stave off boredom (or to skive off at work).<\/p>\n

MyGaming has done some legwork for you dear reader, and presents this selection of entertaining browser games which are good for a quick break, or for hours of addictive gaming.<\/p>\n

gnop<\/a> is one man’s attempt to re-imagine Pong. It is difficult to describe the game without ruining its charm. Suffice to say that you should leave all preconceived Pong notions behind.<\/p>\n

Record Tripping <\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a rather unique puzzle<\/a> game which incorporates some popular music samples and selections from an audio book of Alice in Wonderland. It is as much an experiment in design as it is a game.<\/p>\n

The graphics are crisp and charming and the puzzles include some reworked classics as well as new concepts.<\/p>\n

Sushi Cat<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sushi Cat<\/a> is a colourful and serene physics game. In a similar vein to Peggle, one must deploy their hungry cat through a maze of objects and gather as many pieces of sushi as possible. Points are awarded, high scores are achieved, cats are fed sushi, everyone wins.<\/p>\n

Home Sheep Home<\/strong><\/p>\n

Home Sheep Home <\/a>is a clever little physics platform puzzle game which puts the player in charge of a group of three sheep, each of different size, ability and mass. The player is tasked with getting the sheep back to their barn, and will have to manipulate the diminutive flock as well as objects in order to reach the end of the level. The puzzles aren’t overly complex but do provide a decent challenge, and one can even surprise themselves by discovering an alternate solution.<\/p>\n

Alice is Dead<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alice is Dead is a macabre take on the realm created in Alice in Wonderland. The game takes the form of a murder-mystery point-and-click adventure. Things have gone sour in Wonderland, and the protagonist (who shall remain nameless to preserve some mystery) must struggle to piece together their memory and discover who killed Alice. Newgrounds<\/a> sponsors the hosting of episodes one and two. Although short, each episode should get the mental juices flowing for a short while, whilst the grisly visuals and fantasy film noir atmosphere entertains.<\/p>\n

Pixel Jam <\/strong><\/p>\n

If you still haven’t had enough of browser games (or haven’t been fired for slacking off at work) then head on over to Pixel Jam<\/a>. There are a number of quirky little games all using retro style pixel art. A personal favourite is Dino Run which has the player trying to outpace a global extinction event.<\/p>\n
