Update:<\/strong> A countdown clock on a mysterious website<\/a> has appeared, revealing that \u00a0Left 4 Dead 3 announcement is imminent. The countdown clock ends on the second day of Gamescom 2013, which would be a good moment for a game reveal. That said, the site’s domain is dubious and it’s unlike Valve to reveal a game in this manner.<\/p>\n

Original story:<\/strong> While not coming from an official announcement, it appears that Valve is currently working on the next instalment in the co-op zombie-shooter series, Left 4 Dead.<\/p>\n

The speculation about the existence of Left 4 Dead 3 comes through a picture that was taken of Valve\u2019s internal changelog.<\/p>\n

The picture was taken by a Dota 2 player, who was touring Valve’s\u00a0Bellevue-based offices as part of The International 3 Tournament.<\/p>\n

On top of the possible development of Left 4 Dead 3, the changelog also reveals Source 2 as another current project.<\/p>\n

Valve co-founder Gabe Newell has previously spoken about the next instalment of the Source engine, but Newell has been extremely tight-lipped on another Left 4 Dead sequel, or any in-development game for that matter.<\/p>\n
