{"id":57198,"date":"2013-08-13T12:30:21","date_gmt":"2013-08-13T10:30:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=57198"},"modified":"2013-08-13T12:35:22","modified_gmt":"2013-08-13T10:35:22","slug":"omni-vr-treadmill-pre-order-price-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/gadgets\/57198-omni-vr-treadmill-pre-order-price-revealed","title":{"rendered":"Omni VR treadmill pre-order price revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Virtuix Omni has opened up pre-orders for its omni-directional virtual reality treadmill, the Omni, for $499 (R4,950*), which includes the Omni platform, shoes, belt, and tracking hardware and software.<\/p>\n<p>The Omni is an ambitious fully-integrated VR interface which puts players on a movement pad that translates actual physical movements into the game world.<\/p>\n<p>The project was launched through a Kickstarter campaign, which within one day accumulated over $400,000, smashing its $150,000 goal.<\/p>\n<p>The Omni is also compatible with the Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra (and other) game controllers.
