Learn 3D will be at the rAge 2013 expo for its 10th year, and has announced it will be hosting free classes, as well as announcing the winners of its Home Grown development competition, as voted for by the public.<\/p>\n

Learn 3D is an authorised Autodesk and Toonboom training centre, offering full-time and part-time courses in 2D and 3D animation, visual effects, and game development. Creation tools used include Toonboom Storyboard Pro, Toonboom Harmony, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk Mudbox, Autodesk Composite, Adobe After-effects, and Unity 3D.<\/p>\n

Learn 3D Free Classes at rAge<\/h3>\n

Learn 3D’s free classes will cover 2D illustration, 3D animation with 3ds Max and Maya, and games development with Unity 3D.<\/p>\n

These classes are half an hour long, and their main purpose is to provide attendants with a quick yet rewarding experience about what is involved in each of these disciplines.<\/p>\n

Those interested in attending the classes can book a spot on the Learn 3D website<\/a>. Learn 3D said that to minimize the effect of the unavoidable no-show, they will be accepting up to 8 bookings per class, with only the first 4 people to show up able to attend.<\/p>\n

Learn 3D Home Grown Competition at rAge 2013<\/h3>\n

Learn 3D’s game development students will upload the final builds of the entries to the Learn 3D website<\/a> on 18 September. These will be available for download and all game enthusiasts are invited to download and play these games, and then vote for their favourite game through a link which will be put up on the Learn 3D website.<\/p>\n

On 2 October, Learn 3D will announce the game with the most votes. This game will be available at the stand for people to play during the rAge expo.<\/p>\n

The top public scores in the game will receive the following prizes:<\/p>\n
