<\/p>\nThe most-popular genre in modern gaming is the first-person shooter, and if you\u2019re dying for your fix of down-the-sights chaos, then you\u2019re in luck, because there are a horde of gorgeous next and current-gen FPS games heading our way in the coming months.<\/p>\n
Wolfenstein has been out of the game for a few years, but the grandfather of first-person shooters is set to show that an old dog can also teach some new tricks.<\/p>\n
The game will be a cross-generational release, as it will drop on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and MyGaming got hands-on with the game at Gamescom with some inspired results.<\/p>\n
The New Order doesn\u2019t feel like any other shooter on the market. It\u2019s packed full of weight, meaty shooting, and really lets the players feel the gunfights, with some impressive audio work, great physics, and a solid cover system.<\/p>\n

Titanfall may have been overlooked as \u201cthe thing those ex-COD guys are doing\u201d, but Respawn Entertainment have forked away from what you\u2019d expect of a multiplayer shooter.<\/p>\n
Titanfall is fast, brutal and relentless with its action. The gameplay is really unlike anything else you\u2019ve seen, as the David vs. Goliath element of the multiplayer matches add a huge level of strategy to your actions.<\/p>\n
The team have also designed the multiplayer matches to feel cinematic and story-driven, and not just another typical kill-the-other-team scenario \u2013 it really does lend a level of immersion and interest to what you\u2019re doing in the game.<\/p>\n
Killzone is one of the grittiest and most brutal FPS franchises in gaming, and Shadow Fall will undoubtedly bring that furious shooting nature to the PS4.<\/p>\n Set thirty years after the events of the Killzone trilogy, the world of Killzone Shadow Fall is a very different place. Forced together by circumstance, the two rival factions of the Helghast and the Vektans live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall.<\/p>\n Expect many crazy weapons, enemies and gorgeous visuals when Killzone: Shadow Fall releases in November.<\/p>\n Fans can always expect some good ole FPS action from the Call of Duty series, and Ghosts will deliver that in heaps when it launches on 1 November.<\/p>\n Ghosts will be slightly different from other iterations though, taking a fictional post-catastrophe setting that will allow for some unique weapons, locations and set-pieces that the series has become known for.<\/p>\n The multiplayer will once again rope in millions of players who are likely already getting their trigger fingers ready and arguing about the best loadout.<\/p>\n Battlefield 4 will raise the bar of what to expect from a FPS and vehicular action game, bringing DICE\u2019s gorgeous Frostbite 3 engine to the forefront.<\/p>\n The FPS elements are further ramped up from past iterations, making for more visceral and intense gun battles.<\/p>\n There are a number of things on the Battlefield 4 maps that are interactive, including car alarms, birds and other objects that can give away the location and whereabouts of enemies.<\/p>\n Players can also interact with shipping crates, opening and closing the doors if hiding, or to prevent someone from using it to sneak towards a flag.<\/p>\n These elements add player-enacted dynamic gameplay to the maps, adding another layer to consider when tackling the enemy.<\/p>\n Which FPS are you most excited for this season?
