With GTA 5 dropping jaws on the PS3 and Xbox 360, gamers are wondering if the massive crime game will make its way to next-gen too, but Rockstar\u2019s Dan Houser has squashed that hope.<\/p>\n
Houser explained that the team at Rockstar is very excited about the prospects that the PS4 hardware brings, but said that the GTA series won\u2019t be coming to PS4 just yet.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course we\u2019re interested. But no, not in terms of GTA, because we\u2019re always working on the current game. We look at the tech at a more practical level: what will be ready for which game that we\u2019re working on further down the line. We don\u2019t have another GTA in development, we don\u2019t work on three of these games at a time. That would be phenomenally depressing,\u201d said Houser.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, in terms of GTA, no. We get pitched by the hardware manufacturers on what they\u2019re planning to do and our tech guys come up with ideas on how that could be used. Does this influence design decisions. Of course. But we\u2019re not sat there fantasising about 10 years down the line. We\u2019re so busy with what we\u2019re doing right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
