{"id":58595,"date":"2013-09-24T12:59:07","date_gmt":"2013-09-24T10:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=58595"},"modified":"2013-09-24T13:08:46","modified_gmt":"2013-09-24T11:08:46","slug":"steampunk-inspired-coffee-shop-makes-waves-in-ct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/58595-steampunk-inspired-coffee-shop-makes-waves-in-ct","title":{"rendered":"Steampunk-inspired coffee shop makes waves in CT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cape Town is known for its coffee shops, and while it\u2019s not necessarily gaming news, a new coffee shop\u2019s interior aesthetic has generated so much buzz that it\u2019s worthy of a mention.<\/p>\n<p>Situated on\u00a0Buitenkant Street in the city centre, Truth Coffee looks like something straight out of Bioshock&#8217;s Rapture, with its steampunk-inspired d\u00e9cor and throwback styling of an alternative Victorian era.<\/p>\n<p>The shop itself is littered with old telephones, typewriters, and other mechanical machinery that lends to a really unique atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>Truth Coffee has only been open for a year and is already attracting international coverage on the internet<\/p>\n<p>Truth Coffee&#8217;s David Donde said the inspiration for the design came from professional designer Heldane Martin. &#8220;Martin, turned to me one day and said: &#8216;know what you are?
