US game retailer GameStop has revealed the name of the new upcoming Assassin’s Creed game via a promotional poster. <\/p>\n

It is important to note that this is not being billed as Assassin’s Creed 3, but is considered more of a continuation of Assassin’s Creed 2. As opposed to being a fully fledged sequel, it strikes me as more of a new chapter, or episode. <\/p>\n

The box blurb reads:<\/p>\n

“Live and breathe as Ezio, now a legendary master assassin, in his struggle against the Templar order. Lead your own brotherhood of Assassins and strike at the heart of the enemy. Rome”<\/em><\/p>\n

“And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style”<\/em><\/p>\n

“A never-before-seen online multiplayer experience.”<\/em><\/p>\n

“Lead your own brotherhood of assassins, as Ezio, and conquer Rome.”<\/em><\/p>\n

As promised by Ubisoft a while back, the game will feature a multiplayer component which should be interesting.<\/p>\n

The pack shot also indicates a PS3, Xbox 360 and PC release as expected, and states that the game will be released in Fall, which means our spring; so around September then. <\/p>\n

Ubisoft has confirmed that the promotional pack shot is legitimate. <\/p>\n
