{"id":5935,"date":"2010-05-11T11:48:00","date_gmt":"2010-05-11T09:48:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"alan-wake-lands-this-week-prices-compared","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/xbox\/5935-alan-wake-lands-this-week-prices-compared","title":{"rendered":"Alan Wake Lands This Week, Prices Compared"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alan Wake is easily the most widely anticipated Xbox 360 exclusive to be released in the first half of this year (if we exclude Mass Effect 2, which also has a PC release).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Described as an &ldquo;action thriller,&rdquo; and developed by Remedy Entertainment (Max Payne), Alan Wake was initially supposed to be released on Xbox 360 and PC, but last year Microsoft confirmed that the PC version had been put on hald indefinitely.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Supposedly inspired by dark thriller franchises such as Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Lost and Stephen King novels, Alan Wake follows the experiences of a best-selling author, who in order to help overcome his writer&rsquo;s block, visits the quiet small town of Bright Falls with his wife. The R715 price tag is for the Special Edition. The regular edition is R645.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BtGames has again reduced its listed price to R629.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Original<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BTGames was shockingly the most expensive of the lot. For the first time in recent memory, Look&amp;Listen did not carry the highest price, and R585 seems to be the sweet spot with online retailers.
