Dragon Age: Inquisition is an intriguing title on many levels as it gears up for a 2014 launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.<\/p>\n
For those craving an epic fantasy RPG on next-gen consoles, it fits the bill perfectly, although it will be going up against the likes of The Witcher 3.<\/p>\n
For die-hard PC CRPG fans, and Dragon Age Origins fans in general, it will be BioWare’s chance to redeem themselves after the lacklustre showing made by Dragon Age 2.<\/p>\n
Inquisition has DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine under the hood, promising destruction, explosions and terrain deformation.<\/p>\n
The DigiExpo in Finland from 1 – 3 November recently played host to an Inquisition presentation, and now some recorded pre-alpha footage has made its way onto the Internet.<\/p>\n
Having watched the footage, it’s clear that Inquisition is no longer an isometric affair, and while I do long for the good old days of Origins, I am left quite keen on trying out Inquisition.<\/p>\n
The visuals are looking good, even at this pre-alpha stage of development. It remains to be seen if the game will be modifiable – we can dream…<\/p>\n
At around the 18 minute mark, you will see the tactical view options in action, allowing player to pause the game and plan attacks.<\/p>\n
