{"id":60268,"date":"2013-11-15T12:11:30","date_gmt":"2013-11-15T10:11:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=60268"},"modified":"2013-11-15T12:20:51","modified_gmt":"2013-11-15T10:20:51","slug":"will-the-ps4-explode-if-you-shoot-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/playstation\/60268-will-the-ps4-explode-if-you-shoot-it","title":{"rendered":"Watch a PS4 explode at 50,000 FPS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sony&#8217;s Playstation 4 has now officially launched in the US and Canada and some lucky gamers got theirs early through competitions or mistakes made by couriers.<\/p>\n<p>One of those was Richard Ryan, who uses an array of guns to destroy technology, reviewing the results in 50,000 FPS slow mo.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan uses a .50 caliber Barret M82A1 high-velocity sniper rifle for most of his tests and it packs a serious punch.<\/p>\n<p>The M82A1 is one of the toughest guns on the planet and shoots .416 Barret ammunition at a top speed of 853 metres per second (just over 3,000 kilometres per hour).<\/p>\n<p>On impact, most .416 bullets completely disintegrate, hitting the weak point for massive damage.<\/p>\n<p>When Ryan was done destroying his new console, he offered to give away the matte slot cover with the PS4 logo on it, as well as the Dualshock 4 controller, to his fans. The PS4 itself is completely unbootable.
