Remember when 19-year-old UK teenager Peter Clatworthy was duped through eBay into buying a picture of an Xbox One for a cool R7,800?<\/a><\/p>\n

Well, it seems an electronics retailer in Nottingham, CEX saw a golden marketing opportunity and has given Clatworthy a free Xbox One console.<\/p>\n

The original intent was to get the console for his 4-year-old son as a Christmas gift, said Clatworthy.<\/p>\n

The eBay listing did say it was a picture of an Xbox One console, but Clatworthy said he expected to receive an actual console since it was listed in the video games and consoles category on eBay.<\/p>\n

When Clatworthy received the picture in the post, written on the back was the message \u201cThank you for your purchase\u201d.<\/p>\n

Although Clatworthy was refunded by eBay for the scam purchase, the Xbox One is apparently sold out across the UK – luckily for him, CEX stepped up to make the wises of Clatworthy Junior come true.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m just overwhelmed by the reaction to the story. All I wanted was a refund. I cannot believe this,” said Clatworthy.<\/p>\n

David Draycott, assistant manager at CEX said “We as a company are always looking to do a good thing for somebody. Hopefully Peter and his son will both be able to enjoy this together.”<\/p>\n

I’m sure the young Clatworthy will thoroughly enjoy launch titles such as Ryse and Dead Rising 3 while dad proudly watches on…<\/p>\n
