Microsoft Xbox South Africa has reached out to local media to assure that the Xbox One console will be hitting South African retail shelves sometime in 2014.<\/p>\n

“The Xbox One will release in South Africa in 2014. We currently do not have an official release date but when we do we will announce it to all our media and through our social channels,” said a spokesperson for Microsoft Xbox South Africa.<\/p>\n

That’s it.<\/p>\n

No solid details until the Microsoft mothership sends official word that South Africa exists as far as it is concerned, and we’re pencilled in alongside all the other countries they haven’t heard about.<\/p>\n

We’re speculating on an August 2014 launch based on reports of international launch delays<\/a>.<\/p>\n
