In a post on the Xbox Wire blog, Microsoft’s Yusuf Mehdi said that over 3 million Xbox One consoles were sold to consumers in 13 countries before the end of 2013.<\/p>\n

Microsoft claimed that the Xbox One was the fastest selling console in the US during November.<\/p>\n

Microsoft’s Xbox One is certainly in high demand, with numerous reports coming in since launch of the console being sold out at retail.<\/p>\n

Heading into 2014, big games for Xbox One include Titanfall, Watch_Dogs, Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive, Tom Clancy\u2019s The Division, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Destiny, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and The Elder Scrolls Online.<\/p>\n

The last time Sony claimed numbers, it was that 2.1 million PS4 consoles had been sold<\/a> as of 3 December 2013.<\/p>\n

As of 13 December the PS4 is available in 48 countries, while the Xbox One has reached 13: PS4 dominates worldwide reach versus Xbox One<\/a><\/p>\n

As for South Africa, we really have no idea beyond speculation as to when the Xbox One will be officially available. Currently it is thought that SA may be part of a fourth wave of rollout, putting out launch as far away as Q3 2014: Xbox One confirmed for SA in 2014<\/a><\/p>\n
