One of our favourite local retailers, Kalahari.net<\/a>, has reduced prices on a couple of pretty awesome games for today only. <\/p>\n

The following games have been reduced:<\/p>\n

Silent Hunter 5, MX vs. ATV and MAG are no longer on Special. <\/p>\n

Replacing them are Rogue Warrior, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 09, and Singstar: Take That. Keep an eye on Kalahari for more daily specials. <\/p>\n

Silent Hunter 5<\/strong> – PC – R269.965<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Released less than three months ago, Ubisoft’s latest iteration of its classic submarine simulator has been reduced from R384.95 to R269.95.<\/span><\/p>\n

Players commandeer a German Type VII U-Boat, and go up against allied forces as they wage war across the Atlantic and Mediterranean. The campaign spans between 1939 and 1943, and allows players to walk around inside the submarine, interact with crew members, and command the ship through eyes of a German U-Boat captain.<\/span> <\/p>\n

It is also worth mentioning however that this game does ship with Ubisoft’s new DRM, which requires players to be constantly connected to the internet in order to play.<\/span> <\/p>\n

MX vs. ATV Reflex – PS3- R469.95<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Developed by Rainbow Studios, and published by THQ, Reflex is the third game in the MX vs. ATV series.<\/span><\/p>\n

Players can participate in supercross and motocross on either motocross bikes, or ATVs (four wheel bikes).  Events included in the game are omnicross, free ride, champion sport track, waypoint racing and freestyle motocross.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reflex is part of the popular MX vs. ATV series, although the game has been built from the ground up, and makes use of its own unique physics engine, as well as a unique control scheme. Both analogue sticks are used to control the bikes in what has been labelled the “reflex” system. The left analog stick controls the handlebars, while the right stick takes care of the rider’s body movement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Star Trek Online Gold Edition<\/strong> – PC – R289.95<\/strong><\/p>\n

Star Trek Online is the recently released Star Trek themed MMO developed by Cryptic Studios. Players command their own ship, playing as either the United Federation of Planets, or Klingon Empire. Players can explore new worlds, travel to distant galaxies, and boldly go where thousands of other Star Trek Online players have gone before. <\/p>\n

Reduced from R412.95, the Star Trek Online Gold Edition includes a Star Trek Online T-Shirt, a map of the universe, DLC code for Deep Space Nince uniform set, 5 postcards and a special collectors box. <\/p>\n

MAG<\/strong> – PS3 – R469.95<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This definitive online-only shooter for the PS3 was released in January, and boasts massive battlefields with up to 256 players in game at any given time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Players fight alongside each other in platoons across a variety of maps and game types.<\/span> <\/p>\n

The game has a rich  ranking system, complete with leadership points,  player statistics, and the ability to command the flow of battle for the highest ranked players in a game.<\/span> <\/p>\n

Orders over R385 qualify for free delivery, otherwise customers must pay a R30 delivery fee.<\/span> <\/p>\n
