The latest CoD: Black Ops rumour doing the round suggests that the game may contain a mission which allows players to re-enact the assassination of the 35th American president, John F. Kennedy. <\/p>\n

Some detective work performed over at VideoGamesZone<\/a> has uncovered a brief 2 frame sequence in the trailer<\/a> depicting what looks like a sniper rifle, and a name underneath it.<\/p>\n

The name is what’s most interesting: Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald is recognized by the US government for assassinating JFK in 1963.<\/p>\n

Also interesting, is that another clip just a few frames after this sequence shows a document dated 1961. <\/p>\n

These discoveries have led to speculation that players will be in some way involved with the famous assassination, about which numerous conspiracy theories have been suggested. <\/p>\n

The entire affair remains a contentious subject in the US, and we all know how Activision loves contentious issues. Could a mission where players have to assassinate JFK be the next “No Russian” (famous mission on Modern Warfare 2 which has players massacre hundreds of innocents in an airport)? <\/p>\n
