Having struggled since 2008, the BioShock movie was finally canned in March 2013.<\/p>\n

Now the concept artwork from the film has emerged, showing the undersea city of Rapture in many angles and details not seen in the game.<\/p>\n

The art was created by Jim Martin<\/a> and you can view the full gallery of his BioShock work over on his portfolio.<\/p>\n

Jim Martin has previously worked on a number of fantastical films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Chronicles of Riddick, The Matrix sequels, and Star Trek: Deep Space 9.<\/p>\n

The BioShock movie had much potential, with a US$200 million production deal at Universal and Gore Verbinski on board to direct.<\/p>\n

Eventually the studio got cold feet and slashed the budget, causing Verbinski to back out, and series creator Ken Levine to finally pull the plug.<\/p>\n
