Mac OS X gamers can now find out what they have missed in one of the most highly regarded FPS titles of all time.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate the momentous occasion, Valve has released a pretty impressive CGI advertorial homage to Apple&#8217;s &#8220;1984&#8221; television commercial which introduced the Macintosh computer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OYecfV3ubP8\" target=\"_blank\">original Macintosh &#8220;1984&#8221; commercial<\/a>&nbsp;aired during the 1983 American Football Super Bowl, creating quite a stir in the media for breaking the mould on prime time advertising. The commercial was directed by Ridley Scott, and used the theme of George Orwell&#8217;s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four to &#8216;hammer&#8217; home how revolutionary Apple considered their Macintosh to be.<\/p>\n<p>Having viewed both videos, and considering the storyline of the game, one can see how Valve has cleverly brought all of this full circle for the Mac OS X release of Half-Life 2. There is no word on any special launch price for the Mac OS X version as of yet, but keep your eyes peeled.
