Not ever, cowboy, no sir. Cheatin’ is for men what’s soon to be shot dead out in the main street. But say there was some way to, y’know, be avoidin’ capture by bein’ real clever-like. And say, y’know, that were meanin’ slippin’ through the ground-like. Well, I’d be thinkin’ that’d be a bit of alright. Like shootin’ yer pals off their hosses for a laugh. That’s a bit of alright also. Spit.

Actually, I’m not sure where I’m going with that accent, so I’m chucking it.

The game’s “Most Wanted” multiplayer achievement / trophy is probably one of the toughest to bag, since it means racking up a $1000 on your head, and maintaining it for ten minutes without incurring some sort of instantly regrettable incident involving you and other people’s guns. What luck then, that there’s one of those very useful level glitches in Red Dead Redemption, and if you’re a real outlaw type, there’s no reason not to exploit it to your own revolutionary purposes, is there? Giddy up.

So, mosey on over to Colonel Allende’s villa. That’s the tastelessly extravagant compound overlooking the fly-blown squalor of Escalera. You’ll want to cram loads of ammo in your pockets and plug a few soldiers on the way to show you mean business, and to start pulling bounty hunters to your position. Quickly head through the main entrance, and immediately turn left into a room with a bunch of furniture and a massive vase in the corner. But that vase isn’t quite in the corner, and the gap between it and the wall is actually a secret gateway into a magical parallel dimension I’ll call “That Place Under The Veranda That Nobody Else Can Get Into, Lol”.

Like any proper, self-respecting magical parallel dimension, of course, getting in is a matter of some luck. You’ll have to be crouching, for starters – or perhaps demonstrating appropriate obeisance to the gods of the Wild, Wild West – and make sure that, once you’re wriggling up against the wall, you push yourself towards the left. If you don’t do this, you risk ending up in the room to the right – a hellish perdition I’ll call “That Place From Which There Is No Escape, Lol”.

Once you’ve successfully negotiated the howling space between worlds, you’ll find yourself deposited under the villa’s porch, with the surrounding foundations conveniently removed for your ad hoc shooting gallery pleasure, and – crucially – granted complete invulnerability from enemy fire. This exemption from the otherwise immutable laws of virtual ballistics is, however, happily a one-sided contract, and you’re free to put bullets into the crowds of stupid soldiers rushing about outside trying to figure out why their programming parameters aren’t working.

Note that, since you’re essentially outside the game’s legitimate sandbox, aim assist is completely disabled. Also, if a player vote to kick you from the server is passed, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

When your ten minutes are up, simply step through the semi-permeable membrane of the veranda and make your daring getaway. I’d recommend moving around and through the back gate of the compound, since most resistance comes from the town side.

Discuss RDR Most Wanted in the forums

[20

post-6229","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-features
["GET
