{"id":63365,"date":"2014-04-15T09:23:26","date_gmt":"2014-04-15T07:23:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=63365"},"modified":"2014-04-15T09:25:27","modified_gmt":"2014-04-15T07:25:27","slug":"half-life-finished-in-under-21-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/63365-half-life-finished-in-under-21-minutes","title":{"rendered":"Half-Life finished in under 21 minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Speed-running collective\u00a0quadrazoid has set a new world record by finishing Half-Life in 20 minutes and 41 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>The successful speed-run, which smashed the previous record of\u00a029 minutes and 41 seconds, took four years of planning and practice to execute, according to the group.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This run has truly been an endurance test for everyone involved, and we&#8217;re extremely happy to finally be able to share it with you,&#8221; the runners said.<\/p>\n<p>The run was executed on Hard difficulty, and is the amalgamation of various segments performed by a group of runners. The actual players are: quadrazid, Crash Fort, coolkid, pineapple, YaLTeR, Spider-Waffle, and FELip.<\/p>\n<p>It must be noted that this record-breaking run uses custom scripts for &#8220;jump spam, duck spam, 180 degree turn for gauss boost and precise use-key actions&#8221; and is cobbled together from 317 segments; 249 of which are shorter than five seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a video of the record breaking run.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VtI5HM7GVGY?rel=0\" height=\"338\" width=\"600\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Any speed-runners out there have a go at Half-Life?
