Ookla\u2019s latest Net Index statistics shows that Pretoria is the top broadband suburb in South Africa with an average broadband download speed of 10.3Mbps.<\/p>\n

The Net Index website, which uses data from millions of recent test results from Speedtest.net, shows that the average download speed in South Africa is 5.2Mbps.<\/p>\n

South Africa\u2019s average download speed is significantly lower than the global average of 17.7Mbps, while the country’s average upload speed of 2.5Mbps is also much lower than the global average of 8Mpbs.<\/p>\n
