{"id":63480,"date":"2014-04-20T10:49:18","date_gmt":"2014-04-20T08:49:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=63480"},"modified":"2014-04-20T10:51:54","modified_gmt":"2014-04-20T08:51:54","slug":"nature-documentary-coming-to-oculus-rift","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/63480-nature-documentary-coming-to-oculus-rift","title":{"rendered":"Nature documentary coming to Oculus Rift"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Documentary maker David Attenborough\u2019s next show, Conquest of the Skies, will be available for Oculus Rift before the end of 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The creators of Conquest of the Skies, which is currently being shot in Borneo for Sky 3D, have already bought several Oculus developer kits to bring the documentary to virtual life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re now filming for the Oculus Rift,\u201dsaid Atlantic Productions\u2019 commercial director John Morris. \u201cWhen we filmed our recent flight in Borneo, we filmed with an eight-camera rig, so you got the full 360\u00b0 experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Morris said the challenges of filming for the\u00a0Oculus Rift were comparable to the beginning of the film industry, but added that the medium could be very lucrative.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;VR tech is a new platform you can monetise.
