{"id":64517,"date":"2014-05-15T18:34:36","date_gmt":"2014-05-15T16:34:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=64517"},"modified":"2014-05-15T18:37:40","modified_gmt":"2014-05-15T16:37:40","slug":"ubisoft-posts-r937-million-loss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/64517-ubisoft-posts-r937-million-loss","title":{"rendered":"Ubisoft posts R937 million loss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ubisoft has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ubisoftgroup.com\/comsite_common\/en-US\/images\/pressrelease_downloadablemm_20140515_033108_ubisoftfy14earningsenglishfinaltcm99143210.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">posted its financial results for the financial year 2013-2014<\/a>, ended 31 March 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Despite sales turnover of 1,007.1 million euros (\u00b1R14.3 billion), Ubisoft posted an operating income loss of 65.6 million euros (\u00b1R936 million).<\/p>\n<p>This has also left them with a debt of 12.7 million euros (\u00b1R181 million) for the 2013-2014 financial year.<\/p>\n<p>Could this have anything to do with the delay of Watch Dogs which would have originally propped up their 2013-2014 figures?<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on these results, Yves Guillemot, Chief Executive Officer, stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Although Ubisoft did not reach the targets announced a year ago for 2013 &#8211; 14, we did see a number of significant achievements during the period.
