Having had a big rant about the shocking launch quality of Watch Dogs<\/a>, and pointing out that Ubisoft hasn’t had the courtesy to acknowledge the game-breaking issues and assure customers they are working on fixes, I’ve now received my first official communication from the publisher since Watch Dogs launched two day ago.<\/p>\n

Are they aware of the problems? Are they working on getting patches out as quickly as possible? Forget all that! They’ve sold a whole lot of a copies, so who cares?<\/p>\n

Today, Ubisoft announced that Watch Dogs sold through more copies in its first 24 hours of availability than any previous title in the company\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

Ubisoft\u2019s co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot weighed in on Watch Dogs\u2019 early success, saying, “Watch Dogs is an amazing achievement and our teams should be proud that the creativity, innovation and long hours they invested in making this game are paying off. It\u2019s great to see so many players enjoying the game, and it shows that Watch Dogs has cracked the code for developing a new blockbuster IP and a thoroughly new-gen experience.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
