With the recent launch of the Battlefield Hardline beta<\/a>, SA gamers are getting a chance to sample EA’s latest incursion into the Battlefield series.<\/p>\n

The question remains, however: when the game launches in full on 21 October 2014, will there be local server support for Hardline players?<\/p>\n

If MWEB has anything to do with it, the answer is yes.<\/p>\n

MWEB Online Gaming manager Desmond Kurz told MyGaming that if the game uses deicated servers, MWEB will try and secure them for South Africa.<\/p>\n

“We are still gathering information on the multi-player infrastructure requirements for Battlefield Hardline. As we proved for Battlefield 4 – being the only ISP to put servers up for launch – we will always do our best to help serve the gaming community,” said Kurz.<\/p>\n

“The MWEB GameZone team is pretty good at not taking ‘no’ for an answer and looking for creative ways to make things happen. The obvious worry from our side is that it’s not DICE this time, so we are unclear as to what we can expect. With E3 on at the moment, it’s also proving difficult to get timeous responses.”<\/p>\n

MWEB, in partnership with Gameservers.com, already hosts dedicated servers for Battlefield 4 in SA<\/a>.<\/p>\n
