{"id":6591,"date":"2010-07-05T00:30:00","date_gmt":"2010-07-04T22:30:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"windows-8-details-leaked","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/6591-windows-8-details-leaked","title":{"rendered":"Windows 8 details leaked"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to <a href=\" http:\/\/www.grabgeekpoints.com\/blog\/2010\/7\/4\/first-windows-8-details-leaked.html\" target=\"_blank\">Grabgeekpoints<\/a>,&nbsp;one of Microsoft&rsquo;s hardware partners has released various titbits of information regarding their next operating system; Windows 8.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Windows App store<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Described as similar to the iPhone&rsquo;s App store, but with a &ldquo;Microsoft twist&rdquo;, the Windows Store will feature all manner of desktop gadgetry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internet Explorer 9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A no brainer really. Does anyone still use IE? Yawn&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Windows Live Wave 5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nothing is really known about Live Wave 5, and Live Wave 4 is currently in beta.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Release Date<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Microsoft is supposedly aiming for a mid 2012 release. And I was just getting used to Windows 7&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PC Form Factors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Microsoft will target their new OS at the three different categories of PCs: The &ldquo;Lap PC&rdquo;, &ldquo;Workhorse PC&rdquo;, and &rdquo;Family Hub PC&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Human Presence Sensors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kinect for Windows, basically.
