During E3, Sony announced that those who bought Far Cry 4 for the PlayStation 4 would be able to invite their friends to play with them, even if they did not own the game.<\/p>\n

While an exciting prospect, how exactly will this work?<\/p>\n

According to reports, PS4 users without Far Cry 4 will be able to download a Far Cry 4 app that will allow them to be invited to play by friends who have purchased the game. The app will contain all of the game’s content, minus the single-player story missions, and is expected to be fairly large – in terms of file size.<\/p>\n

When co-op mode is engaged, the single-player missions are deactivated and the world of Far Cry 4 – outposts included – becomes yours to tag-team.<\/p>\n

Technical director for the game,\u00a0Cedric Decelle, said they are making the co-op play a lot more difficult than the single-player campaign. For those who played Far Cry 3, you will recognise the second co-op player selectable by gamers – Hurk.<\/p>\n
