{"id":66259,"date":"2014-06-23T13:56:51","date_gmt":"2014-06-23T11:56:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=66259"},"modified":"2014-06-23T14:10:10","modified_gmt":"2014-06-23T12:10:10","slug":"will-assassins-creed-unity-be-delayed-for-pc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/66259-will-assassins-creed-unity-be-delayed-for-pc","title":{"rendered":"Will Assassin&#8217;s Creed Unity be delayed for PC?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Assassin&#8217;s Creed Unity will released for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 at the same time according to Ubisoft.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rockpapershotgun.com\/2014\/06\/23\/assassins-creed-unity-pc-delay\/#more-214565\" target=\"_blank\">Rock, Paper, Shotgun<\/a>, AC: Unity\u00a0producer Lesley Phord-Toy said:\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t have any specific news on the PC version of Assassin\u2019s Creed Unity, but I do know we\u2019re planning on shipping on all three [platforms]: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. I haven\u2019t heard any news differently than that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>History shows us that Assassin&#8217;s Creed titles normally release for PC after their console counterparts have hit the shelves, with the most recent PC iteration &#8211; Assassin&#8217;s Creed 4: Black Flag &#8211; launching several weeks after the console version.<\/p>\n<p>Phord-Toy said releasing a PC version of a game can be &#8220;challenging&#8221;, and explained why there have been delays in the past.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPC has a variety of different hardware configurations that you can\u2019t necessarily predict. On a console you know what\u2019s in the box. Every customer has the same configuration for the most part, and first-parties push firmware updates so everyone has what you\u2019re expecting to have. PCs are nowhere near as consistent. So it can be extremely challenging to try and support as many of those permutations as possible,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>The being said,\u00a0Phord-Toy has assured AC fans the PC version will not be delayed this time around.
