Sadly, it was not accompanied by a price cut, which would have seriously stirred up the market.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sony has responded with 3 new PS3 models, but don&rsquo;t expect anything as drastic as a complete redesign. For now, the three new models are only available in Japan, but according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.conceivablytech.com\/1657\/products\/sony-announces-ps3-refresh-good-enough-for-the-xbox-360\/\" target=\"_blank\">conceivablytech <\/a>they&nbsp;will be making their way to western audiences at some unspecified time in the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A new 160GB console which comes in either charcoal black (current colour), or white replaces the current 120GB PS3. The third new PS3 is also charcoal black, and packs a 320GB harddrive, effectively replacing the 250GB model.
