{"id":66469,"date":"2014-07-01T06:58:21","date_gmt":"2014-07-01T04:58:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=66469"},"modified":"2014-07-01T07:00:18","modified_gmt":"2014-07-01T05:00:18","slug":"mygaming-reveals-the-greatest-game-ever-made","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/features\/66469-mygaming-reveals-the-greatest-game-ever-made","title":{"rendered":"MyGaming reveals the Greatest Game Ever Made"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The MyGaming readers have spoken, and <strong>Super Mario Bros.<\/strong> is the Greatest Game Ever Made.<\/p>\n<p>1,437 people voted in the <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/features\/66381-dont-forget-to-vote-for-the-greatest-game-ever-made.html\">MyGaming survey<\/a>, and the Italian plumber created by a Japanese company took top honours after kicking off with a slow start.<\/p>\n<p>With 58 games nominated for the survey, the 1,437 votes were thinly split and Mario&#8217;s winning margin was less than half a percentage point, with <strong>Half-Life<\/strong> following close behind.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u00a0are the top 10 greatest games ever made, as voted by you.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">1. Super Mario Bros. &#8211; 6.19%<\/h3>\n<p>The little plumber and his quest to to save the princess will go down as a game that shaped the industry. Half-Life &#8211; 5.85%<\/h3>\n<p>Half-Life, like Mario, made a huge impact on the world of gaming when it was released, and Valve can attributed a lot of its original success to the FPS title.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VtI5HM7GVGY?rel=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">3.
