Mind Sports South Africa’s membership to the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) is currently under review, pending a hearing.<\/p>\n
Lazygamer quoted the Sascoc office\u00a0in a report<\/a> on Wednesday (3 July 2014) as saying that the MSSA’s affiliation with the committee had been terminated.<\/p>\n According to the MSSA general secretary Colin Webster, though, the MSSA has not received any official correspondence from Sascoc informing it that its membership has been revoked.<\/p>\n “It’s not true,” Webster told MyGaming. “According to the articles of association, the only way our membership can be terminated is at a council meeting.”<\/p>\n However, Sascoc CEO Tubby Reddy did confirm to MyGaming that the MSSA has been suspended from Sascoc, pending a hearing and one-on-one meeting with the group.
