{"id":67892,"date":"2014-08-13T08:01:59","date_gmt":"2014-08-13T06:01:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=67892"},"modified":"2014-08-13T08:10:31","modified_gmt":"2014-08-13T06:10:31","slug":"silent-hill-is-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/67892-silent-hill-is-back","title":{"rendered":"Silent Hill is back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear Solid fame and horror movie director Guillermo del Toro are teaming up to take us back to Silent Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Re-read that sentence, and if you&#8217;re still not excited, click that little &#8216;x&#8217; in the top right corner of this page.<\/p>\n<p>The secret project basically caught everyone off guard, and revealed itself as an interactive teaser on the PlayStation Store under the name of &#8220;P.T.&#8221;, which was released during Sony&#8217;s conference.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from heavyweights Kojima and Del Toro, the game will star\u00a0another familiar name\u00a0&#8211; The Walking Dead&#8217;s Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).<\/p>\n<p>Well, that&#8217;s the assumption anyway &#8211; info is scarce at this stage, and the teaser says that it&#8217;s just that &#8211; a teaser &#8211; and has no direct relation to the main title.<\/p>\n<p>Check it out, below.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/m7yrTSqitrw\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Silent Hill has been rather&#8230;silent&#8230;over the past few years, with our last trip into the town being rather underwhelming.<\/p>\n<p>Silent Hill Shattered Memories on the Wii was a decent enough re-imagining of the original game, but Silent Hill Downpour &#8211; which promised to follow in the foggy footsteps of the masterful Silent Hill 2 &#8211; failed to deliver.<\/p>\n<p>The HD remakes of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 also missed the mark, somewhat &#8211; but the idea of a new Silent Hill, with a fresh set of hands on the wheel (on the new gen consoles!) really gets me hot under the collar.<\/p>\n<p>Are you excited for a new Silent Hill with such big names behind it?
