The monitor is an often overlooked piece of PC hardware, even amongst gamers. It is easy to get caught up in graphics card, RAM and CPU upgrades. However, the humble monitor has an important role to play. From screen size, to refresh rates, viewing angles and contrast ratios, there is a lot to consider. <\/p>\n

Just as we did with our local graphics card comparison<\/a> last week, we have rounded up the best deals from the best local retailers.<\/p>\n

Because there are countless different models from multiple different brands, we chose the cheapest screen in two categories: 22-24 inch, and 25+ inch, as these categories give us an idea of entry level, as well as higher end pricing. <\/p>\n
