Thanks to the team at I Fucking Love Science<\/a>, a video from Vsauce3<\/a>\u00a0explaining – in scientific terms – the repercussions has been brought to my attention, and it does not disappoint.<\/p>\n Considering that Superman can punch dimensions apart and travel at nearly the speed of light, you know his fist in your face is going to hurt. A full explanation is posted in the video, below, but the quick version is as follows:<\/p>\n If Superman’s fist is 300 grams and moves at 99% the speed of light, the\u00a0punch is equivalent to 45 megatons of TNT.\u00a0The movement would burn 45 trillion calories, and the energy released would be about 80 trillion Kelvin.<\/p>\n Not only would you be liquefied at an atomic level, you literally would not see the punch coming.<\/p>\n That being said, Batman is still number one in my heart.<\/p>\n
