Not only will it make you feel old, but truly feel despair for the youth of today.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Is it a projector?&#8221; &#8211; oh the humanity.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bDOZbvE01Fk?rel=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">The South African \u201cGolden China\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Here in SA, kids didn&#8217;t really know what the NES was, mainly due to the fact we had\u00a0the\u00a0non-North American\u00a0version called the Family Computer (or at least knock-offs that looked like the Famicom).<\/p>\n<p>Some kids may remember the\u00a0\u201cGolden China\u201d. What was it packing under the hood? A full 2KB of RAM, which was expanded up to 1MB thanks to the game cartridge&#8217;s design.<\/p>\n<p>The NES also had a\u00a0PPU (Picture Processing Unit) on board that operated at 5.37MHz.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\">Best selling and scoring games<\/h3>\n<p>The NES\u00a0gave us an era where gameplay was what mattered the most.
