Steam is offering Omni Systems strategy title Eufloria<\/a> a 50% reduced price of US$10 (±R75) until next Thursday (29 July). This special is coupled with the release of Community Map Pack 1 and a slew of Steam Achievement updates.<\/p>\n

Eufloria is a strange beast. It is a minimalistic ambient game, both musically and in gameplay wise. The gameplay follows a space exploration vibe and players are in control of an interesting species of creatures – know as Dysons – that colonise asteroids. <\/p>\n

As players colonise an asteroid, a Dyson Tree is planted which siphons resources from the core of the celestial body.<\/p>\n

These resources are in turn used to generate more Dyson’s, which in turn are used to colonise other nearby asteroids.<\/p>\n

\"Eufloria\"<\/p>\n

Pressure levels are minimal as players  spread throughout space, but there will be encounters with opposing AI whom are also vying for the same resource asteroids. Massing an attack force of Dyson’s is the only way to remove and enemy from a desired asteroid.<\/p>\n

Eufloria will probably prove a unique experience for most gamers. The ambient soundtrack is a big attraction point of the title, along with the serene and relaxing gameplay. One can even leave the game to run on a second monitor or in the background whilst the Dyson’s happily go about their reproductive business. <\/p>\n
