Last week we learned<\/a> that just under half of all US PC game sales in 2009 were attributed to digital downloads, with Steam being the obvious market leader. Steam has become a firm favourite thanks largely to its regular specials. However, it is not the only digital retailer that can often be found selling games at reduced prices. <\/p>\n

Although digital downloads accounted for 48% of US PC game sales in 2009, those sales accounted for just 36% of dollars spent. This is largely because of the massive volumes of games that are sold at reduced prices online.<\/p>\n

It is difficult to keep track of what is currently on special across the wide variety of online digital retailers.  <\/p>\n
