MWEB launched South Africa’s first affordable uncapped ADSL services in March 2009, with prices starting at R219 per month for a 384kbps service.<\/p>\n

Over the years the price of local and international bandwidth and Telkom’s IPC service \u2013 which is needed to provide ADSL products \u2013 declined\u00a0significantly.<\/p>\n

These wholesale price reductions filtered through to retail tariffs, and users can currently get a 2Mbps uncapped service for less than the price of a 384kbps service in 2009.<\/p>\n

DSL line speeds have also increased significantly since the early days of uncapped ADSL, which produces more scale for Internet Service Providers and, therefore, better wholesale rates.<\/p>\n

Best uncapped ADSL prices in South Africa<\/h3>\n

With uncapped DSL prices continuing to fall, it raises the question as to which ISPs are currently offering the best deals. The following table answers that question.<\/p>\n
