November 2014 was a good month for gamers, with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Grand Theft Auto 5 (next-gen), Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4, and Assassin’s Creed Unity among the new titles released.<\/p>\n

Now that most of you have bought one (or all) of the aforementioned games, the question is: did you make the right choice?<\/p>\n

Unfortunately gamers are prone to purchaser’s bias, and your own opinion cannot be trusted. To accurately answer this question we must rely on the facts and figures.<\/p>\n

So, let’s see if you made the right choice based on review aggregator Metacritic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Based on the critic reviews, you made a good choice if you picked up a copy of GTA 5 or Dragon Age: Inquisition. Assassin’s Creed fans who picked up Unity, it would appear you guys made the wrong choice.<\/p>\n

That being said, all reviews are subjective and the gamer playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on his or her Xbox One might be having more fun than all of us.<\/p>\n

Why did Assassin’s Creed Unity score so low?<\/h3>\n

One of the reasons Assassin’s Creed Unity did so poorly among reviewers was the fact that it contained quite a few bugs on release<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Among the problems experienced by gamers, and acknowledged by Ubisoft, were:<\/p>\n

  • Arno falling through the ground<\/li>\n
  • Game crashing when joining a co-op session<\/li>\n
  • Arno getting caught inside of hay carts<\/li>\n
  • Delay in reaching the main menu screen at game start<\/li>\n
  • Frame rate issues<\/li>\n
  • Graphical and collision issues<\/li>\n
  • Matchmaking co-op issues<\/li>\n
  • Helix Credits issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    A Forbes article<\/a>, written by one of the publication’s gaming contributors, even suggested that Unity\u00a0should be recalled due to its many problems. (Obviously this won’t happen.)<\/p>\n
