US-based game developer Zombie Studios has shut down after 20 years of being in the business.<\/p>\n

The studio produced the likes of Daylight and Blacklight: Retribution, and created the\u00a0Spec Ops game.<\/p>\n

The reason for the shutdown, according to reports and a farewell post on the company’s website<\/a>, is that the owners are retiring.<\/p>\n

Zombie Studios was founded in 1994 by Mark Long and Joanna Alexander, who both served as CEO of the developer.\u00a0The studio\u00a0developed over 30 titles, including Blacklight: Tango Down, the Saw games for Konami, and several Spec Ops games and expansions.<\/p>\n

In terms of its\u00a0more recent project,\u00a0Blacklight: Retribution, new studio\u00a0Builder Box Games has taken ownership of the title and continue with its development.<\/p>\n
