The New Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL will launch on 13 February 2015.<\/p>\n

Nintendo has promised improved controls, enhanced processing power, more comfortable 3D viewing, amiibo support, and compatibility with all existing Nintendo 3DS software.<\/p>\n

First released in Japan on 11 October 2014, the new 3DS handheld consoles controversially exclude a power adapter.<\/p>\n

Existing 3DS owners are encouraged to re-use the AC adapter from their previous console, while new users will have to buy one separately.<\/p>\n

In addition to the standalone systems, South Africans will also be able to get two limited edition hardware bundles: New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora\u2019s Mask Edition, and the New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Edition.<\/p>\n

The New Nintendo 3DS consoles feature new and ZL\/ZR buttons and a second analogue controller called the C Stick.<\/p>\n

According to Nintendo, the C Stick can be used instead of the Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad with software that is compatible with the accessory.<\/p>\n
