An EA executive has stated that tablets will offer a console-style gaming experience in the near future.<\/p>\n

EA CFO\u00a0Blake Jorgensen said he believes tablets are growing in popularity and will become a bigger part of the company’s business going forward.<\/p>\n

“What gets us the most excited is the power, the computing power, of mobile devices and the speed at which that’s growing,” he said, adding that in four years a tablet may have more power than a gaming console.<\/p>\n

“And that will open up a whole new set of people to console-style games that are much more immersive, much deeper.”<\/p>\n

Combine this with the fact that EA\u00a0chief creative officer Richard Hilleman recently said the company’s games were “still too hard to learn” and I think EA is basically admitting it will focus all its time and money on making rubbish pay-to-win tablet games that rake in the cash.<\/p>\n
