MyBroadband\u2019s latest speed test results show that Vodacom, MTN, and Cell C\u2019s LTE services produce the highest peak broadband speeds in the country.<\/p>\n

MyBroadband\u2019s speed test service uses Ookla\u2019s platform, and is hosted in Teraco\u2019s vendor-neutral hosting facilities in Johannesburg and Cape Town.<\/p>\n

Through NapAfrica all network operators present at its peering points are provided with a free 1Gbps connection to the MyBroadband speed test platform.<\/p>\n

To ensure that only valid results are recorded, MyBroadband filters the broadband speed tests based on network information from the service providers.<\/p>\n

Over the last month there were 54,349 speed tests performed on the MyBroadband speed test servers.<\/p>\n

The average download speed over the last 30 days was 7,225kbps, while the average upload speed was 2,505kbps.<\/p>\n

Peak broadband speed tests<\/h3>\n

The top 10 peak broadband speed test results over the last month came from Vodacom, MTN, and Cell C\u2019s LTE services.<\/p>\n

The top broadband speed measured was from Vodacom\u2019s LTE service at 86.91Mbps, followed by another Vodacom LTE test at 74.94Mbps, and an MTN LTE test at 70.28Mbps.<\/p>\n

The following table provides an overview of the top 10 speed test results over the last 30 days.<\/p>\n
