They&#8217;re the games we had an inkling, a bad feeling about. They&#8217;ve been missing in action for quite some time now, and I dare say that they have probably been axed, even if not officially announced. Get your black suit out because we&#8217;re in mourning. Rather unfortunately, we still have our clothes from <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/news\/74726-silent-hills-is-canned-del-toro-undoubtedly-wanted-kaijus-and-norman-reedus-a-crossbow.html\"><em>Silent Hills&#8217;<\/em> recent funeral<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These game will probably never see the light of day.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Volume 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Birth-By-Sleep-vol-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74884\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Birth-By-Sleep-vol-2.jpg\" alt=\"Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Volume 2\" width=\"600\" height=\"173\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the end of <em>Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix<\/em>, after completing everything and playing through Aqua\u2019s final mission, you explore the darkness and get to the end of a level. At the end of this level, a cut-scene plays out and hints at a sequel to the <em>Birth by Sleep<\/em> prequel, titled Birth by Sleep Volume 2.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zdMxNSPd9kY\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Testuya Nomura did once comment on this confirming that it&#8217;s another title that we wants to develop that focuses on Aqua\u2019s fight through the Realm of Darkness. That was 4 years ago and shortly after the release of <em>Birth by Sleep<\/em> Final Mix in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, we have not seen or heard anything about this sequel, and it will probably never see the light of day. The team are hard at work on <em>Kingdom Hearts 3<\/em> anyway, and we really don\u2019t mind that at all.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>Beyond Good and Evil 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Beyond-Good-and-Evil-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74882\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Beyond-Good-and-Evil-2.jpg\" alt=\"Beyond Good and Evil 2\" width=\"600\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Beyond Good and Evil 2<\/em> is the sequel to the 2003 smash hit by Ubisoft Milan. The game was officially announced back in 2008 at the Ubidays event in Paris. There has been no word on the title since then.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vkCXE1l5MVI\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The game\u2019s existence has been questionable as the media and gaming community have not seen or heard anything on this title in years. Back in 2010, reports came in that the game was put on hold, but Ubisoft denied claims and confirmed that the game was indeed still in development, they even mentioned that a game like this will take \u201ca while\u201d.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>Agent<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Agent.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74880\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Agent.jpg\" alt=\"Agent\" width=\"600\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Imagine what Rockstar could pull off given the opportunity. <em>Agent<\/em> was being developed by Rockstar exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The game is set during the Cold War and took the player into the world of \u201ccounter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The game was first unveiled in 2000 exclusively or the PS3 but little was heard from the title since then. In 2009 reports claimed that the game was actually thought to be cancelled, but Take-Two quickly denied such claims and confirmed in May 2011 that <em>Agent<\/em> was indeed still in development. in 2013 Take-Two registered two trade marks for the game, but still no word from anyone on the game\u2019s development.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>The Last Guardian <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/The-Last-Guardian.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74878\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/The-Last-Guardian.jpg\" alt=\"The Last Guardian\" width=\"600\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also known as <em>Kitokui no Owashi Trico,<\/em> <em>The Last Guardian<\/em> was previously known as Project Trico until its official debut at the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game\u2019s development began in 2007 and was revealed in 2009 with assets released in 2011, exclusively for the PS3.<\/p>\n<p>The game showed a young boy controlling and manipulating Trico, an animal that seemed like a hybrid of a horse and a bird. The trailer was heart-warming and stole the nerves of everyone who witnessed the game\u2019s reveal.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EHzHoMT5eRg\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We have not heard much from the game since then. Earlier this year rumours spread that the game was cancelled, but as of February 2015, Sony confirmed that the game was still in development, but the platform, release date, or any other footage still remains a mystery. We&#8217;re all fairly sure it&#8217;s being developed for PS4 though.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"my-4\"><strong>We never saw this coming <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There are also those games that get cancelled and shock us completely, what happened? Why, why why?<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>Shadow Realms<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Shadow-Realms.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74876\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Shadow-Realms.jpg\" alt=\"Shadow Realms\" width=\"600\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>BioWare are perfectionists when it comes to game development. They are masters at what they do and have never failed to produce a game that they have promised, well, besides <em>Shadow Realms<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This action role-playing MMO intrigued the masses when it was first unveiled in 2014. It was initially set for release in 2015 but was later confirmed cancelled in February 2015<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/65EIZwhXWSs\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The game had playable demos at events and quite a number of people had hands-on time with it. The reason behind the cancellation was never officially revealed, but it&#8217;s no less saddening.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"my-4\"><strong>Silent Hills<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Silent-Hills.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74874\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Silent-Hills.jpg\" alt=\"Silent Hills\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Silent-Hills.jpg 600w, https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Silent-Hills-230x130.jpg 230w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Silent Hills<\/em> had everything going for it, a dream team, a playable demo and an awesome cast member. What do you get when you take the likes of Hideo Kojima, Guillermo del Toro, Norman Reedus and mix them together? A cancelled game.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ay_RAkE7bUY\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>After all of <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/news\/73475-silent-hills-may-join-these-titles-in-gaming-purgatory.html\">the drama<\/a> with Konami and Hideo Kojima, with Konami even going so far as removing Kojima&#8217;s name from <em>Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain<\/em>, and shutting down Kojima Productions, this was the ultimate stab in the heart to <em>Silent Hill<\/em> fans. Why cancel such a great concept, and after that P.T playable demo, we all couldn\u2019t wait for the full release.
