\u201cOppression has to End\u201d says the tagline of a teaser for a forthcoming Assassin\u2019s Creed <\/em>world premiere live stream.<\/p>\n

We wonder if the oppression they\u2019re referring to is the rushed development or uninspired approach taken with recent Assassin\u2019s Creed<\/em> titles. Probably not.<\/p>\n

What has actually happened is that Ubisoft has just let slip a teaser for the debut of what is undoubtedly Assassin\u2019s Creed Victory<\/em>, Unity\u2019s<\/em> London-based, current-gen follow-up.<\/p>\n

Who are the “Rooks”? The Eagle-like symbol would suggest that they’re a part of the Assassins.<\/p><\/div>\n

One of the images used as part of the teaser campaign, seen above, has the words \u201cGod Save the Queen\u201d etched into wood. If you weren\u2019t sure, God Save the Queen<\/a> is the title of the national anthem for the United Kingdom commonwealth.<\/p>\n

The two other etched phrases are \u201cRooks\u201d, which is currently an unknown to us, and \u201cWe forge the chains we wear in life\u201d, a well-known Charles Dickens<\/a> quote.<\/p>\n

The teaser is all about an upcoming world premiere livestream at 6PM<\/strong> South African time, or 5PM in the UK and 9AM PDT on May 12th<\/sup>, 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s hoping that, unlike Assassin\u2019s Creed Unity<\/em>, Assassin\u2019s Creed Victory<\/em> not only works correctly from the get-go, but introduces something new, something worth truly investing in \u2013 even if it is just a solid set of characters or a well-executed narrative.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
