It\u2019s almost time for TI5, and I thought it appropriate to rile up the crowds. It\u2019s Dota <\/em>season after all.<\/p>\n

Everyone loves statistical fact; they\u2019re unadulterated, inarguable and, usually, to the point. So let\u2019s get right to them:<\/p>\n

By all objective measure, then, League of Legends <\/em>is the superior game. It\u2019s the most played, most viewed and maintains the largest cultural following, and by a good margin too. And yet, Dota 2<\/em> is still the better game.<\/p>\n

*inb4 irate readers fast track to the comments or forum to express their disdain for my obvious bias*<\/strong> Let me make something clear right now. Impartiality is for the weak.<\/p>\n

Like it or not, South Africa, suck as we might, is a bastion for Dota 2<\/em> \u2013 expect unabashed bias.<\/p>\n

Granted, League of Legends<\/em>, Dawngate<\/em><\/del>, Heroes of Newerth <\/em>and Heroes of the Storm<\/em> have their strengths, but not like these they don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Dota 2 is going to violate you in your uncomfortable place<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Games aren\u2019t just won and lost in the draft, though that\u2019s often the case, but the first and last 10 minutes of the game as well. And it can be for the smallest of faults.<\/p>\n

Make no mistake, your opponents will be rewarded for their good play, and you will be punished for your mistakes, whether minor or egregious, and harshly.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why, in spite of Dota 2\u2019s<\/em> decidedly slow pace when compared to LoL<\/em>, it\u2019s the more difficult game to master.<\/p>\n
