It’s become such a hard-and-fast rule that 8GB and 16GB kits of RAM\u00a0are enough to satisfy the requirements of PC-devouring games, especially ones which push the limits of memory, games like\u00a0Project CARS<\/a><\/em> and\u00a0The Witcher 3<\/a><\/em> for example.<\/p>\n

There are, of course, 32GB as well as 64GB to cater to your needs, and now 128GB of RAM is becoming a thing. In fact, 128GB kits will be in our hands very soon, and it will be damn expensive.<\/p>\n

Expect a 128GB kit of Corsair Dominator RAM to “dominate” your wallet as much as it does games.<\/p><\/div>\n

Both Kingston and Corsair are set to make such RAM commercially available. Kingston recently revealed that they’re ready and set to roll out this high performing DDR4 RAM soon, and will be labelled as part of their HyperX lineup.<\/p>\n

Said lineup will include a\u00a0DDR4 126GB RAM kit running at 3000MHz, with\u00a08x\u00a016GB modules and 16-16-16-36 timings.<\/p>\n

The RAM\u00a0will be featured in\u00a0a high-end system during Computex Taipei. To power that beast, Kingston’s test system will make use of an Intel Core i7-5820K.<\/p>\n

Kingston hasn’t revealed any hints to the\u00a0availability and pricing of their\u00a0128GB RAM kits.\u00a0But you can see the performance in these screenshots below:<\/p>\n

Similarly, Corsair has also released 128GB DDR4 memory\u00a0kits. The company has three 128 GB kits, which are now available for purchase overseas and are designed for\u00a0Intel X99 series motherboards.<\/p>\n

Keep in mind that the above prices are before shipping and tax in South Africa, so we expect the prices of these Corsair DDR4 kits to be quite a lot higher\u00a0than the indicated prices above.<\/p>\n

Just as a frame of reference, 64GB of DDR4-2666 Corsair Vengeance RAM will set you back R15,426<\/strong> at Rebeltech<\/a> and 64GB of 2800MHz G.Skill Ripjaws 4 RAM at Wootware<\/a> is a scary R10,782<\/strong>. Now consider the price of twice as much RAM at a higher speed.<\/p>\n
