{"id":76294,"date":"2015-05-28T15:30:00","date_gmt":"2015-05-28T13:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=76294"},"modified":"2015-05-28T15:18:20","modified_gmt":"2015-05-28T13:18:20","slug":"microsofts-new-xbox-one-controller-to-sport-a-3-5mm-headphone-jack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/xbox\/76294-microsofts-new-xbox-one-controller-to-sport-a-3-5mm-headphone-jack","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft&#8217;s new Xbox One controller to sport a 3.5mm headphone jack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ll have no arguments now: the Xbox One\u2019s controller is easily the best of this generation, just like the Xbox 360\u2019s controller before it.<\/p>\n<p>If there\u2019s one thing Microsoft knows how to do, it\u2019s how to craft a finely-tuned controller, and it\u2019s about to get better.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/articles\/2015-05-28-microsoft-to-launch-new-xbox-one-controller\" target=\"_blank\">Eurogamer\u2019s keen eyes<\/a>, it\u2019s been spotted on <a href=\"http:\/\/support.xbox.com\/en-US\/xbox-one\/accessories\/xbox-one-wireless-controller\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft\u2019s own support site<\/a> that the Xbox One controller has been updated to include a 3.5mm headphone jack.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_76298\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/New-Xbox-One-Controller-Gamepad-Diagram.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-76298\" class=\"wp-image-76298\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/New-Xbox-One-Controller-Gamepad-Diagram.jpg\" alt=\"New Xbox One Controller (Gamepad) Diagram\" width=\"600\" height=\"404\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-76298\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The addition of a 3.5mm headphone jack is easily our favourite change.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Curiously, since then, the updated image has been pulled and the older 3.5mm-less controller diagram is in its place.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_76300\" style=\"width: 607px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/New-Xbox-One-Controller-Gamepad-Diagram-3.5mm-less.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-76300\" class=\"size-full wp-image-76300\" src=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/New-Xbox-One-Controller-Gamepad-Diagram-3.5mm-less.jpg\" alt=\"New Xbox One Controller (Gamepad) Diagram - 3.5mm-less\" width=\"597\" height=\"507\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-76300\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">And suddenly the 3.5mm jack is removed. Someone at Microsoft made a boo-boo.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We think someone\u2019s leaked the new diagram on Microsoft\u2019s support site earlier than intended.
